112. You Are Not Alone: Embracing Private Pain and Finding Healing

In Episode 112 of A Holy Mess Podcast, Dani talks about how many of us carry private pain – those deep, hidden struggles that we find challenging to share with others, even our closest friends. It is easy to feel isolated in our struggles, especially in a world moving 1000 miles per hour. We often think we're the only ones grappling with particular issues, keeping them hidden from the world. But the truth is, many of us share these challenges, even if we're hesitant to admit it! Whether it's childhood trauma, decisions, addictions, relationship struggles, or thoughts we dare not voice, they contribute to our private pain. We all carry this weight in our unique ways.

Sometimes, our private pain is rooted in unspoken grief. We might be mourning the loss of our envisioned life or dealing with personal challenges that we can't disclose to others. These unspoken burdens can weigh heavily on our hearts, affecting our ability to connect with loved ones and be present in our relationships.

Often, we don't even realize we're carrying shame until we start to confront it! Acknowledging and sharing our struggles, even with just one person, can be incredibly liberating and even healing. Creating safe spaces (like The Feel Better Journey) to express our pain and fears is crucial. Reaching out to a trusted friend or mental health professional can help release some of our emotional pressure. There is no one-size-fits-all solution to pain and struggles, and Jesus is with us in our darkest moments, even when we can’t feel him. Tune into Episode 112 to hear more, and reach out if you’d like prayer.
